Nice, does it run games from any region? I assume it'd want NTSC being 60fps? I assume you can remove the faulty games?

Mostly, yes. There's a smattering of PAL-only games out there, although a handful of them are English ports of NTSC-J (Japanese) games, some of which can be played in Japanese even without understanding the language. Maybe one or two "must play" titles in the list.

Likewise there's a few games that were great Japanese titles and were totally messed up when localised to the US (like this one).

For 99% of games, NTSC-U is always the best option for full speed in English text.

Has Nintendo made any information available as to whether or not they will continue production or is it a single run? I know they acknowledged their NES screw up so maybe there's a lot more on the way.

Scalpers beware...

They said they will keep shipping stock in 2018. From what I can see so far is that in Aus, there's enough supply to meet demand.

Then there's the rumor that the NES mini will return next year since the internals of the SNES and NES are the same.

AMEN. I feel sorry for those that are paying 50-100% more for the NES because it's seriously not worth anything more than retail. You're paying more for nostalgia more than real game play imo.

The original price point of both units is pretty good. The extra cost on the snes is accounted for by the controller. Paying much more than RRP is a little silly - agreed.

Bigw Plumpton had about 4 or so when I last looked.

I know they got restocked the other day as a mate from BigW said they're restocking
