I dont know if that whole multicore sync overclock will apply to a 8700 but if it does then im really missing nothing

also its cheaper and there is a actuall chance of getting one before christmas.

now if only my fucking ram would stop going up was 329 in march now 499 yet production has doubled.

I might get one if I can’t find a K

Yep me - I don't game much these days so its a good excuse to save a hundred+ (including a much cheaper cooler like a EVO212 or Cry H7 etc).

But I do run VMs so I want the cores/threads.

Certainly is.

In fact I just took the D14 off my 4670K and put it on my 8350K, same holes.

Perhaps hold off on the Asus Strix boards until BIOSes mature. Not sure what happened with Asus, their BIOSes used to be awesome, but with this video, and the BIOS issues I had with my C6E, I have lost all faith in them. It's like they don't test anything any more.

Wow, that's kinda big for Strix owners

Seems Asus just brushed him off.

So ladies, what's -the- overclocking board to have? Z170/Z270 was the Asrock OC Formula, what's the current good one? :P

I'm surprised you haven't posted this yet, but I'm guessing it's a little too in favor of Intel for your tastes

At the moment maybe a Apex if $ aren't a factor. No Z370OCF happening but I have heard the Tachi is benching well. Top gigabyte boards might be ok too but my z270 SOC has nothing compared to my z170 OCF and SOC LN2 when it come to memory clocking.

Shouldn't that say money can't buy?
