1. run mem86+ v4.20 (overnight) at least 2 full loop

if any red.. bad ram, or bad setup/ incompatible.

2. if ram passes, run linx(test cpu) for 500 runs with 1/2 ram avaliable (4g good(if ya got 8+)

if linx passes (cpu good+ temp good)

run 3dmark (latest version(you need to loop test- test 3d only for 8+ hours or game demo test (loop) for 8 hours
(this test card+ psu stress)

passes good fails, test in different pc(friends)

if card passes in friends, -psu or software

if vcard fails in friends(600w good psu needed) win 7/vista.. bad card

if all pass...but still fails in games.

turn off sound in bios(tremove sound card) play demo/game with sound...8+ hours

bad sound card - if it passes etc

if test fails in games only- reinstall windows clean..try older drivers gpu etc

most liekly do the LinX test first. why cant mem86 be an .exe!

so far my cousin has had it for 2 days, and it has not crashed his comp. ill leave it with him till wednesday.

But if the GTX570 is a bigger card, or outputs more heat, it could warm up the mobo. Happened to me but that was going from onboard graphics to a dedicated card.

Maybe. Theres a fan on top of my case venting out, an another next to the graphics venting in (blowing right at the gfx card) i
I think the problem lies within the motherboard. (burnt pin [got the socket replaced] & crossfire doesnt work). Will be swapping psu's tomorow as the next test. Right now im running linX as suggested above. (temps ranging between 33-55c)

im just going to sue the HD5770 till i upgrade to a whole new complete machine. im 100% the problem lies with the motherboard (had issues with crossfiring pci-e slot is damaged perhaps). the GTX570 so far is perfectly normal, been in my cousin's pc since friday, and he plays game quite a bit.

Edit: fixed. The driver was causing the crash, after updating to the beta driver it worked fine x
