Hey guys,

Just making a last ditch effort in hope that any GPU Oracles may come forward and assist me with potentially reviving my bricked 7850;

http://forums.overclockers.com.au/sh....php?t=1213531

Cheers.

Guys,

Was trying to sell some GPU's on here, but apparently 8 GPU's of different nature is commercial quantity now(although you can sell 100 other things in one thread). Yes, it's getting ridiculous. God forbid someone collects some gear up.

If you want any GPU's or hardware you know I have message me on FB and we will see what we can do.

Always thought that only applied to a large number of identical items

I wonder If i am allowed to sell my 24 hard tubing fittings then???

A listing was removed that had three matching screens, like thats uncommon for gaming these days ....

Yeah it is odd. Another non pc forum I go on are anal about a template being used but don't care if new or old and I have never seen "commercial" quantities of anything advertised.

What do you guys reckon I could sell my x99 core components for? It runs great but I wouldnt mind grabbing scums gear as its all better than mine.

I listed it on g-tree, got offered $1000 for cpu, mobo and ram ... i will keep it and bench happily for that.

Playing with my 2600k and Asus Maximus iv. When I go to set my memory voltage it comes up with a warning saying that more than 1.6v on the ram can damage the cpu.

How can this be?

Intel warns you not to use more than 1.35v as well.

Does anyone know how to get more than +100mv on a R9 290 GPU, other than Sapphire Trixx? When ever I apply settings in Trixx, even default, I instantly get artifacts across the screen in windows when I move anything. I'm looking at using Asus GPU Tweak, but don't know which bios to use. I don't want to use the PT1 or PT3 modded bios' as the voltage is applied in 2d mode too and is apparently not cool. I don't wanna volt mod the GPU, already have done rail and vmem mods and got it to 1500MHz @ 1.5V, but the GPU is starting to get artifacts @ 1200 with +100mV (<1.3V ish). Just water-cooled the GPU and air cooled the memory and VRMs to get a bit more life out of this gamer. Its a Gigabyte card BTW.

Also does anyone know the stock memory voltage for the 290? I may recall I measured it @ 1.5V, was getting <1400MHz with just the rail mod. Then for some reason later the memory would barely overclock, and the voltage was 1.34V. I then did the vmem mod, and now the voltage is 1.427V idle, 1.48V ish load. This is without adjusting it, does quite a few turns on the VR before it increases voltage. So yeah 1500MHz with an unadjusted mem mod...

Got it sorted, using an older version of Trixx. Can go up to +200mV, but the clocks won't apply, so I change the voltage, then use afterburner without voltage control for clocks. Running @ 1200/1525 with +150mV (1.28-1.35V) and 1.46V. The GPU voltage jumps around a lot lol...

No idea. Not sure many people have these cards, and most software 100mv is the limit (afterburner, trixx, gputweak etc) and lets face it, generally the voltage doesnt do shit, you need to get the gpu colder.
These arent 775 cpus, and I wish more people who overclock would see that throwing big voltage is not the answer.
