OK does any one have a warranty claim experience with PCCG regarding Predator X34 or any other monitor. Seent PCCG some pics today and they asked me to fill up the warranty form to get an RA number. Does any one knows what happens form there. Do I get charged for restocking fee if they take the item back on warranty claim, and if they replace the monitor, will they charge me extra as the price of the monitor has now gone back up to A$1449 where as my purchase price is A$1299 ? Any insights regarding this is welcome.

Also if I take my monitor to an Acer Repair/Service Centre, should they fix the BLB issue for free ? Is there any Acer Service centre around Melbourne ? Any one has any experience with them (ACER Service Centres) ?

Hi all, this is an update. I did take the monitor to PC Case Gear and they had a look in a dark room for 15 odd minutes and then straight away accepted that it is too much BLB and gave me a brand new sealed monitor. I was hoping against all odds that the new monitor will have absolute zero BLB. That however didnt come true. But thankfully this new monitor has way less BLB then the first one - very minimal BLB. PC Case Gear not only tested the new monitor for BLB on my request, but also dead pixel before handing over the new monitor to me. Thanks to PC Case Gear for their great help. That is why it is great to buy from shops like PC Case Gear and Scorptech - excellent customer service.

I wish PLE did this, they're my local and never have time for good customer service like PCCG

Can't hand over $1300 for this reason ^^^

PCCG is not my local either. My very closest shops are all from CPL. But after the warranty experiences I had with CPL, I am now happy to travel half and hour to reach Scorptech or about 45 odd minutes to PCCG to get my stuffs. For anything costly that may need warranty, I will now stick to the shops that have great service to customers.

Don't get me wrong, PLE will happily refund your monitor for BLB or IPS Glow, they don't try hard to replace the monitor and they certainly won't do what PCCG did for you Partha

Can anyone recommend a good full-motion desktop mount for these? Everything I find seems to be for max 27" screen sizes.

I've bought a few things from PCCG and have also been happy with their service. Had a round of faulty speakers and they were great in getting it sorted out.

Any new x34 owners having issues with games you are playing? Or are you having issues only with games that don't support 21:9 format.

Hey all - just a heads up - I bought the Ergotron MX arm for my Predator - and it works great. Obviously with the height restrictions I don't think you can put the screen in portrait mode - but that ain't any loss.

It's amazing how much more room I have on my desk without that beautiful but clunky stand.

I will take some pics Australia day when I finish adjusting it.

Only issue i have had is when i fired up Total annihilation and the game glitched out because the massive horizontal resolution meant the width of some of the smaller maps were not wide enough to fill up the screen lol

well.. i just picked one of these up from MSY. No dead pixels ect but some strange patch of colour on the stand up near the top where it joins the monitor. Looks like a blotch of silver paint..

WTF!... do i contact acer to replace the stand?

Are there other tests i should be doing before accepting the screen?

Thanks in advance.

"YEAAAAAH BOOIII!" lol

Pretty happy to say I've joined the club
Didn't see anywhere that shows X34A and my sticker under the monitor said X34. Dec 2016 build, straight to 100hz and there is a little bleed in the upper left and right corners but with IPS you're always going to get something. In the beginning I was not really liking the loss of vertical space (coming from a dell u3011) but slowly getting used to it. 21:10 is perfection?

Some slight things Acer could have improved on but that would be nit picking. Overall a great display and definitely loving the faster panel.
