Not sure how to link to his specific post. Search his page for "CPS" and you'll find the details.

He quoted me AU$100 for the multibios/desuicide mod, and $15 postage return (he's in Perth, I'm in Brisbane).

Originally there was an extra service to provide a generic (non-encrypted) SH2 chip on your system as well (requires intricate soldering), but other than hacked games (like "4th Strike") apparently there's no need for that any more, and just the CPS3 SuperBIOS mod is all that's required to get you "phoenixed"/suicide-proof and multi-game compatible for all the CPS3 games (6 in total, from 3 different series of games - Warzard/Red Earth, SF3, Jojo).

Given Guru's contribution to the community and the fact that he's Australian, I'm very happy to pay him that price.

Darksoft is selling generic CPSIII SH2 carts now (brand new PCB, preflashed with superbios), which is a great option if you can only get your hands on a motherboard. Combine with a SD2SCSI adaptor, and you can make a working CPSIII setup from spare parts.

Shinybow SCART/RGB to Component/YUV (YPbPr) converters on special currently. Were sitting around US$250, now US$75 (throw another US$30 on top for shipping, sadly).

Will be testing this out on a couple of screens tonight. Still keen to try and RGB mod some cheaper TVs I have lying around, but hopefully this will do for a couple of SDTVs I have with component inputs.
