Yes, it was covered back in the first few pages.

The US get it for US$59.99 (AUD$79.27 at today's exchange rate).

We have the privilege of paying AU$99 for it. AU$20 (+25%) tax because they want to fuck PAL gamers over just like they did back in the NES days. Ahh, nostalgia.

And to cover off in case it's been missed for newcomers, all the pre-orders in Australia currently are sold out.

I wouldn't be too worried though, if it's a successful then I'm sure it won't be too long before more are available, quickly.

It's Nintendo we're talking about here. They have historically given zero shits about (a) the Australian market, and (b) retro gamers.

In complete contrast to you, I expect this to sell out, to vanish from retail existence, and for Nintendo to continue complaining retro gamers are a bunch of filthy pirates when we turn to emulation as a result of a complete lack of legal options to enjoy games from yesteryear.

Initial impressions @ Ars Technica

Looks like the controller cables are really short ~80cm. Good to play on a desk but not so much in your living room!

Watch Jeremy Parish play 2 hours of NES Mini.

Well, watch the first 15 minutes at least, to see some of the options like graphics settings, save states, etc.

I'm not too worried about this, the cables are using the same connector as a Wii Nunchuck and you can buy extensions for those off eBay for cheap.

I know I can do this and it's not expensive. I think what bugs me is that in 2016 Nintendo still haven't worked out that western gamers are different to Japanese gamers.

But then again, they still haven't worked out we can do currency conversions either, so whatevs.
