This new console sounds very promising. I actually just got myself a Wii and it instantly makes you appreciate the quality of games Nintendo makes (been playing Zelda all weekend).

I just hope they make it much more powerful and get a decent online system going.

more rumurs out that the new controllers will have camera's built into them

Quote:
An insider said the Wii 2 pad features a front-facing camera that can be used for in-game images. The person also corroborated a number of well-referenced rumours, such as the controller features a six-inch touch-screen, “possibly with a stylus”, as well as a standard button layout.

along with the possibility that the 3DS could be a replacement controller

Quote:
Develop’s source elsewhere speculated – but was not claiming to know – that Nintendo’s 3DS handheld could act as a replacement controller.

Final fantasy crystal chronicles on gamecube was the same theme. Except rounding up four GBAs and four cables was a right pain in the arse.

You should try what Nick (the owner of Racketboy.com) did:

5 Gamecubes. 1 plays the main game on the larger screen, the other 4 are hooked up with "Gameboy Player" addons - official addons from Nintendo that allowed you to play GBA games on your Gamecube, each with their own TV.

End result is this:

Bahahah that's too funny. Did the gameboy players have a link port or did he mod them?

Somehow I think it's probably easier to round up a few gbas than it is to do that!

They've got link ports in them.

I'm kicking myself - my local GameTraders had a Gameboy Player for $50, and I didn't grab it on the spot. Came back three days later, and it was gone.

They go for double that on eBay lately. Should grabbed it when I had the chance.

Can you link up DSLites in the same way with GBA games?

My wife is the biggest Zelda fan in the universe. It's mandatory that we have a copy of every Zelda game and at least one console to play it in the house at all times.

Although I've struggled to find a Philips CDi and copies of the two Zelda games that appeared on that.

DS lack the link port. Surely GBAs (even the originals) would be worth about $2 by now.

Grabbed a new one on ebay not long ago, also a sealed Gamecube too, will still keep it that way and use the other if need be.

Was even a New SNES on ebay last weekend...

I'm sure that living in Tokyo probably doesn't lend itself to a life of clutter either.
