After — literally — disassembling a whole Dell Inspiron 15R Special Edition to remove the mSATA SSD, I discovered that four screws were missing (two from the hard drive bay, two from the motherboard). Now unless Dell are cutting costs by only including the bare minimum amount of screws, I think this is a slightly dodgy assembly effort.

Back with — potentially — another rant. Has anyone had any dramas with the touchpad not working when the AC adapter is plugged in? I've found this to be an issue on certain power outlets with the Dell Inspiron 15R Special Edition, but not with other laptops.

I think Dell's lost their appeal. They used to be awesome in the way you could customize almost any hardware config on their laptops. Now all you can do is change a shitty changeable lid and add rubbish overpriced accessories!
I'm looking at either the XPS 13 ultrabook or Inspiron 13z and you can't change a damn thing on these models, just different pre-built models with different CPU's. Give me the option of a higher res screen and i'm there.
