Good to see more stock come through... Hopefully puts an end to this scalping thing. The NES mini is apparently being restocked as well.

I think these would make awesome presents for kids aged between 4-10. No internet means you could let kids have these in their room or in a play area is you wanted.

Can't recommend Turtles in Time enough, my four year old and I play that regularly together, 1 game per night. I hook up the console just for that one game. Two player together.

Donkey Kong country is also one of the easier ones..

Contra, I don't seem to get far. Although as Elvis said, the more you play it, the better you get at it. I never had a SNES so I suck at everything.

I think some people mistake these old games for being easy

If you're struggling with games and a little impatient, have a look at the first level or so of anyone doing a longplay or 100% completion run. You'll often see some better techniques to dealing with some of the challenges the games can throw at you.

Back in the day, we'd read countless magazines that would go through the strategies with tips every month. The whole culture and community around these games was really cool, and that's part of what I'm trying to do over in our very own retro forums.

On the topic of magazines, I started cataloguing and organising my collection dating back 30 years. I'm sure there'd be a few guides to the SNES Mini games in these.

I guess my memory of these games has failed to remember their difficulty.
