I shoot clay targets competitively (skeet, not trap!), though I haven't been shooting in a long time since I started working full time. I only have 12 gauge o/u shotguns - Beretta 682 Silver Edition (it's my mum's trap gun, she shoots both trap and skeet) and a Miroku skeet 26" (my baby, though it doesn't fit me so well, I need a riser in it).

I've never shot pistols or rifles, they aren't really my deal. I'll get some photos and post them later

last i heard you need to get 2 farmers references saying you will be shooting on their property, then you need to go to a 1 day weapon safety course. Not too hard, but you will need a farmer to give you references...

haha second post is another NT-er.

I shoot a mates 12Gauge Mosberg (sp?) U/O a fair bit at clays. Gotta decent freaking kick as it makes my 308 feel like a pop-gun.

I'll let this thread roll, as i love my weapons.

But please don't post any illegal weapons. Or weapons you don't have a licence for.

^^^ Good call mate.

I would have assumed that members here would be mature enough to only post pics of weapons they own and hence are licenced to have. but I guess some might need to have it spelled out for them.

If you grab a pic off the net and say "OMG look at my belt-fed 50cal with can and nuke launcher attachment", I HOPE you get flagged for it. haha

Here's three of my little babies.

From the top:
SMLE No4Mk1* Longbranch FTR.
SMLE No1Mk3 BSA bitza, was a No1Mk1 originally.
SMLE No1Mk3 Lithgow, all matching.

No idea where I can find pictures of my other firearms; I thought I had a stack, must have deleted them.

This is the best way of doing it.

In Victoria, yes.

Firearms permits and licencing is covered under state law, so it's different from state to state.

I'm scared of such an occurrence as this happening to me...

It's clean and safe.

That's what happens when you shoot steel plate or thick iron which is propped against something.

The odds of something like that happening are tiny, you could shoot that target for a year and never have that happen.

Thinking of getting my NT shooters license at the end of the year (would like to do some pig and goose hunting in the NT and have several uncles with large properties in Queensland who'll let me shoot hares, foxes and cats on their land) and am seriously considering a camel hunting trip to central Australia if my father has a more reliable 4WD by Christmas. Oh, and to Rass who asseted that the .416 Barret is the only centrefire you should use on foxes...you are a moron (really hope that was a sarcastic comment on your part). Friend of my father's just gave away his custom made .416 Rigby to a friend because it was only really useful for shooting buffalo in the NT, Aus. Yes, foxes and water buffalo are a different size...*shock*
