I think i've got 1 left you can have. PM me your email or steam Id

you can create your own internet game and play with/against AI. if you password it then no other human player can join ( unless of course you give them the password)

What's the average time to finish a AAA shooter these days?

http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=18782

I've spent 38 hours on this SP mod (and the COOP version), and this is for an alpha without all of the weapons and vehicles.

So if you purchase ARMA3 Alpha, will you get ARMA3 when it's finalised or is it basically a different game?

Also how's everyone finding the performance and graphics? I had a look at some gameplay on youtube and have to say i wasn't overly impressed, at least not when you compare it to BF3, looked very bland. But looks aren't everything i guess.

yeh you will get the full game on release. Essentially they will keep updating and adding to the alpha till its a full release. Don't compare to BF3, it's nothing like it. This is a tactical sim. If you liked OFP - Cold war crisis and the previous ArmAs you'll love this.
Graphics are awesome and runs very well. Especially for an alpha. Well I've had no issues with performance. My rig is in my sig. Running on max detail with a 3km view distance.

Hey guys,
Can anyone recommend a mod that is basically a game tutorial? I come from a battlefield background so everyjing is very new to me lol.
I bought arma3 last night only to find out I am hopeless at it and had no idea what I was doing. The only showcase I managed to pass was the heli one.
And could someone recommend a colour scheme for a colour blind person?

I also have 3 arma3 lite copies free to a good home

I saw Steam updating this the other night, but haven't bothered playing it lately. Can somebody tell me if they've bothered with any anti-cheat yet?

Buy ARMA 2 Combined Ops (Or Complete edition if they have such a thing) and play through the bootcamp missions.

Couple of notes though:

Make sure you turn headbob down significantly
Turn off mouse smoothing
Check arma2.cfg and arma2oa.cfg and make the following tweaks:

Make sure the "max gpu frames ahead" is set to 1, the default is 1000 (which gives input lag). Setting it to 0 will use the driver default

Also make sure the refresh rate is the same.

Also change your FoV. Here's my FOV for 1920x1080. This setting is in your username\arma2 other profiles\profilename.cfg

fovTop=1.03;
fovLeft=1.83;

Thanks for the informative post, but I would prefer not to buy a game to learn how to play a game that I own.
I DLed a scenario call "Whole lot of strattis" from armaholic, so im not confined to just the showcase pieces and am getting there slowly but surely. Just wish my medic would heal me when I told him to lol.

If you prefer, I have a 35 euro coupon for being an arma 3 supporter. If you like I can use the code and get you the set?

So looks like you won't be able to upgrade from the base version of the game to deluxe or supporter.

This is a shame as I know I would have upgraded my edition for the bonus material.
