Default wanting to benchmark cpu (ubuntu)

Hi,

I want to run a cpu benchmark that i can compare to internet results for various popular cpus. i tried Phoronix Test Suite but i cant understand how to use their website for comparison results so is there an easy one that i can use and compare? ie something like prime95 that was on windows... easy to find comparisons.

i am testing cloud servers so i cant just look up my cpus

i assume you dont know the cpu model so you can search by test.

There are two websites:

Phoronix Test Suite - the tools themselves, and how to use them

http://openbenchmarking.org : the results themselves.

The latter is probably what to check other people's submitted results. Quite easy to search (type thing in search bar, hit search button). As a self confessed genius paid professional, I'm sure you'll be able to work it out.
