KB3004394 is breaking shit this week.

http://www.infoworld.com/article/285...l-defende.html

MS Late to the party acknowledging the issue as well, its still be advertised for download.

edit:

Also, Exchange 2010 SP3 Update Rollup 8 has been pulled...

http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/...mber-2014.aspx

Just a minor issue - from the article.
What I can recommend is:

Our strategy is to patch 1 month behind, and roll it out in 4 stages (across 4 days, at least 2 days apart - ensuring 'like' servers are split)

This seems like a better strategy.

Patching pre-prod / test / dev / uat first is a good way forward.

"Works" is a subjective term, especially for an Office Suite a few versions behind.

It no longer blocks attachments with (...) in them, so it's got that going for it.

I got an alert from my wsus server about some new updates but the link to the kb article goes nowhere.

Kb9999444
2017-07 update for Windows 10 version next.

Anyone know wtf this update is?
The wsus server it came up on is not configured to look for w10 updates, so I assume it applies to legacy operating systems and preps them for upgrading to w10?

EDIT: now that i'm back at work i can see that this patch is listed under the product OOBE ZDP with a classification of critical.

from my understanding OOBE ZDP patches are generally critical patches that should be installed post OOBE stage of install ("please wait while we... etc).
the link is still broken though so no idea what this patch actually does.

Nothing down the usual channels.
but anecdotally, many people are pusing the patches back a week or so... once (I wish) bitten twice shy and all that

I've Noticed by windows update history being cleared after the last batch of updates on some PC's.

The entire history?
Or only patches beyond a certain date?
