if you are running the ram at 2400 i would not be concerned it really is only after 2666 you start hitting roadblocks.

and for the money i personably would swap the 1500x for 1600 not much($30) difference price wise more cores and you get a free cooler

ProcODT between 40 and 60 ohms if the option is avaliable to you
this needs further investigation.
i,m still not sure on how to find what it is running at on auto or better yet what to set it to.
froma couple of sources going to high can cause large tears and stamping of feet

i DONT need a killer machine but having 4x with 16gb ram suffices

if i go am4, at the moment im up for $130 board, new ram

& a $250 odd cpu, the board & ram i understand is standard but do i really need a $250 cpu ?

will a cheaper dual core? am4 cpu do the same job as amd quad cores?

If you're desperate, and can upgrade later, remember this is AMD, not Intel: your mobo will be compatible with future processors down the road.

Please please please give us a decent low power 4C/8T APU for the mobile space.

A Surface Pro or Lenovo Miix 7xx with virtualisation, and more physical cores than a damn dual-core "i7" would be awesome. 2.5GHz boosting to 3.2-ish is plenty, just need as many cores as possible in that package

Laptop Mag say AMD say 2H 2017 for mobile..

you will defiantly see 4c/8thread mobile, since that's Raven ridges native configuration.. depends how low power you're talking - 10 to 15w class would likely be the minimum for 4c without having to sacrifice too much clockspeed..

Honestly AMD shouldn't compete in the low end market as they have to compete with NVIDIA, ARM, Qualcomm and Intel. I hope they continue to push products out to the mid and upperend markets

https://hothardware.com/news/amd-ryz...-zen-with-vega

why not...
team the 2 up they own both and they should be able to release them at a good price.
ASUS is already teasing gaming laptops based on the ryzen/Vega and do you think they would do that if it was a dud...
i think the blanket coverage of all markets is a good idea assuming they can pull off a competitive product like they did with the ryzen.

time will tell
