Awesome and thank you.

Looks like I will be waiting then for the newer version.

The screen door effect was horrible IMHO.

Some games look terrible. Luckily, super sampling is available if you have a 1070+ gpu.

Project Cars and Assetto Corsa look beautiful on my 1070 and Vive.

Sadly, Oculus Head of Research just came out and said at least 2 more years before a refresh. Oh well. I guess itll give VR devs some time to make some real good games at least

And give GPUs a snowball's chance in hell of pushing 4-5K at VR latencies and framerates.

Hey All,
Just wondering if anyone might be able to help me out

I recently purchased a CV1 second hand and with the slightest movement of the cable (or the cable port) the headset switches off then connects again.

I've read up a fair bit about it online about the cables being faulty, but I am not sure if its the port of the cable at this stage.

Warranty isn't transferable so you need to contact the original seller.

It seems he was a sell and run sort of person, leaving me with a damaged unit

If you have any friends with a headset you could try it with their cable. If the problem goes away then you know what you need.

I just sit mine on the desk (where it won't get any direct sunlight) but there are some 3d printed stands around. I assume you could get one printed and delivered?

You'll have to make your own box I guess. The one it came in is fine for the headset but doesn't have spots for touch.

Outer layer protection: Not sure what you want here. You can't cover the outside while it's in use or it can't be tracked. It has led's beneath the surface material which need to be able to shine through. Some people put normal phone screen protector film on the lenses to protect against scratches.

This looks really good. $682 Australian delivered with 3rd sensor.

Vive still selling for $1400 at HN and JB....seems like a no brainer.
