Looks like all so far hit 5ghz but volts and temps vary, a few 5.2+ results here

With the limited amount of time we've had it does seem to also depend on a very "strong" board

The 5.1GHz we had on an Asus Maximus Forumla

We struggled to get 5.0 on a Strix 270E
It wasn't stable and will require a lot more tweaking
Or i could be completely wrong and just have a better CPU rather than the other.
Just don't have the time to swap them out and test each one

Yes I just picked one up from ocuk. They have dropped a little in price as EK are producing them now for De8auers.

What was the maximum vcore voltage used at 5.1ghz, during your prime95 test?

EBay 20% off code: CSUNNY20 until 15th January.

So places like FUTU Online have 20% off their Graphics cards, motherboards etc.

Not sure about CPU's but noticed Asus ROG IX boards were about $40-$50 cheaper than PCCG and free postage.

Not affiliated with anyone just thought I would pass it on

what i do need to upgrade is my 2x keplar titans.

sandy is not outdated in my opinion. i upgraded as my pc died so it was a forced situation, i didnt do because i actually wanted to. i needed to so i had my pc.

my pc is watercooled with 3x 360 rads and d5 and so on. my last pc was also watercooled.

It's so frustrating. I have a business desktop 4590 quad core at home with 24GB DDR3 and an SSD and there's really not that much improvement to be had in day to day Windows.
Yet, things I click are not completely and utterly instantaneous or close to it, which is what I'm after.

Anyone trying with a 7600k? Interested in the OC performance. And the delidding headroom increase. Don't really need hyperthreading, so 7600k should be sufficient. And cheaper...

SATA/mSATA/m.2 SSD or NVMe m.2 SSD?

I'm playing around with mine atm but I have no intentions of delidding mine as I'll probably just have it sitting on a 4.6ghz oc for it's life.
Mind you, I'm only using a Silverstone Tundra TD02 (roughly equivalent for a Corsair H60) so not the best cooling solution.
<- Went for look over performance, also snagged it up for like $50.

Currently testing it out at 5ghz with 1.3v.
Hopefully it'll get by so I can possibly lower the volts.

[edit] Is there a significant jump with volts from 5ghz to 5.1ghz? Cause mine crashed after 2 minutes with Prime95 at 5.1ghz with 1.3 yet it's doing well temp wise and all that at 5ghz.

So after playing around with some overclocing last night I managed to hit 5ghz @ 1.275 vcore.
Ran Prime95 for an hour or so and topped out at 90C.

Should be a good starting ground for anyone thinking of pushing it further with the 7600k.
Delidding and using a better cooler should give better results.

How did you go with the de-lidder tool.
i went to the link you posted and the user's testimonies are great.

I did the old razor blade trick with my old 3770k and it made a world of difference, keen to upgrade the 7700k and would most likely delid it out of the box.

I haven't received it yet. But I have been charged for it so it should be soon. If they're shipping from the US then they are coming off a public holiday. I only ordered it last weekend.

Certainly have, been using and overclocking on my Asrock Z170M OC Formula and MSI Z170A Gaming M5 for a little. No problems with latest bioses.
