I think I started this one, and the closest thing to a point Strat in my flat is a mijanese jazz bass.

what as opposed to normal strats? The one's that permeate every style of music apart from metal?

and really you only have a limited selection of shapes: strat, lp, "pointy strat" (super strat), V and explorer. Every guitar fits into one of those shapes (apart from BC Rich, but they kinda take one of those shapes and cut bits off and stick them somewhere else on the guitar.)

eh its whatever you like, my f shaped ltd looks awesome (to me) but essentially its a pointy strat with the points cut off.

V's - v, v-2

yeah there's little differences in the body shape, but essentially they are 4 - 5 main shapes that work, and a few like the jaguar that are half-half.

I'd take Tele's out of your Strat column but I agree with the rest.

Meh, I care not for guitar shapes... so long as it's got a set of screaming humbuckers and I can access at least 22 frets without stretching then its A-ok with me

Complete change of subject. I left my thumbdrive of music at home today so have been listening to this for a while and am enjoying it: http://saurusband.bandcamp.com/
