I also have a BD player in my main HTPC (I have many.........they breed ) and I find I'm using it more and more these days so I'm not subjected to the mindless previews/fbi warning etc etc your forced to endure when watching a BD 'legally'

I'll just rip to HDD using AnyDVD-HD from now on, sick and tired of BD's not playing what I want/when I want

This is a good app but when you chuck in a disc, why is there sometimes two titles on there? I end up creating two mkvs as I don't know which is better or worse yet both mkvs look the same.

Directors cut and theatrical versions maybe ???

I noticed this too so just chose the first and seemed OK though I have only tried makemkv once to confirm it decrypts BD's

AnyDVD-HD is my weapon of choice

Just an update. I put my Batman movie in and it plays out of all the speakers (out of a usb sound card connected via a KVM). It has a little banner saying it's oem-6 ch. Maybe there are different varieties of the Cyberlink which get bundled, but this is the one I got with the bd player, so as far as I'm concerned it's fully functional to use the drive for playing blurays

I'm pretty sure it will not play back TrueHD/DTS-HD in its original bit-rate unless your using either analogue out or HDMI

Ever heard of PAP ???

I've no clue what you're talking about slobber All I know is that the batmobile was rumbling and the bats were squeaking everywhere when I watched it on my computer.

AnyDVD-HD is my weapon of choice
Anydvd is ok but it doesn't strip down the movie to the movie alone in a single file, only in multiple files or the whole disc.
