New ammo belts are pretty cool.

Looks like the Mustang premium is bugged atm, the ammo belt costs are that of a tier 1 plane (compare it to the Typhoon premium).

BufflUFO wasn't changed, still loses SFA energy in turns.

Money earning was nerfed to all hell in lower tiers. Played one this morning as US tier 0/1, 1-7-7 over 24k XP......4K lions.

I'm STILL downloading the patch since last night. Fastest it's been going was 180KB/s, averaging 90. Sigh.

Should have torrented it.

The new WT economy is going to force everyone, premium account or no, to use free repair which is equivilent to Wargaming introducing tank locking for pub matches GG Gaijin, back to tanks everyone goes. For the flight sim crowd it's back to actual flight sims.

I was running at .5MB you just have to keep restarting it as it slows down over time.

Read on the forums that changing the language on the launcher can speed up the download. Then change back to english when the download is done. No idea if it's legit or not.

Flying T6/7/8 Aircraft last night, never once couldn't afford to repair every aircraft after each match.

Lower income, but repair costs are significantly lower.

Lower income but massive increases in aircraft cost + putting into service + upgrades.

I could afford the games I played just fine apart from the one game on RU which has become unplayable at the same ping as before 0 packet loss etc and I was rubber banding everywhere. EU was mostly ok with some weirdness after planes went down spazzing out and jerking all over the place.

You used to get around the same or much more lions than XP, now you get 25% if you're lucky. There are games being posted with 25 kills and almost no profit. Over 100k XP in a premium plane netting under 30k. That's unacceptable when the next plane costs 1M lions or more plus around whatever it used to cost to buy the plane just to put it into service.

I agree the new economy is a bit pants but I haven't had any problems fixing my planes AND making some decent lions at same time... in fact last night I made a shitload and had a lot of fun.

Strangely, for some of my planes repairs are now actually really cheap... only a couple of my planes are really expensive (the P-47 being one of them) to repair. My corsair costs about 500 lions to repair from completely destroyed!

Please specify a profit range that is "decent".

The group I play with were averaging 50K per game before 1.29. Not your average shit kicker pilots.

Say you wanted to buy a Yer-2. In 1.27 this would take a few wins to buy and put into service then a large number of games to unlock the extra loadouts etc. Without reducing income this would now take upwards of 20 games without putting the plane into service or paying for a single loadout or ammo belt type.

A similar game will now get you maybe 10k profit if you do well. So now you have to play well over 100 good games just to buy the plane. Which is now worthless because of the introduction of the new damage models at the same time as the new ammo types a short burst is enough to send a B17 into the ground. Which now has to use the bomb sight in arcade because the arcade sight has become unusable not to mention dive bombers.

Most of the high tier matches we played last night were 90%+ fighters and heavy fighters with the few brave souls in their bombers either spending so much time climbing they were non-factors or being shot down in the first couple of minutes of being in the air.

One of the games it was a good 10 minutes in before a single ground target was destroyed... on a ground attack map

You have to click on the currently selected server then scroll down. Sometimes the options are invisible and you have to guess.

No amount of clicking in the server selection box changes the server.

One suggestion of lowering the resolution seemed promising. Except when changing back to my native res the selection would change to EU

Did you click on the server name? I assume you tried that.

I can't really test it as it works for me.

I started off with the UK as my eyes shot directly to the Mustang when I was browsing the research trees. Flying a bi-plane in battle is like bringing a knife to a gun fight
