Nothing catching my eye on this expansion, it won't stop me from buying it, but come on.

Can't stand the story, but everything else about the expansion sounds great.

Finally better inventory. Able to craft directly with mats from your bank, finally. Able to account bind all your fluff items you've been holding on to for years, finally. Player housing, finally (they said they would have this back in closed beta for classic 10 years ago!!).

Heap more game play changes and the like, really making me want to pick this up.

Perhaps I can just not do any of the quests or story in it and pretend it never happened and just enjoy all the new functionality.

They did a good job with the MoP story progression with the legendary questline, so I think if you get over the fact its a bit of a cop out story-wise and just enjoy it WoD will be great

All sounds pretty good, I do like the new zone stuff. I really enjoyed spending my time in Outland all those years ago, would be glad playing my toon in Outland the majority of the time again.

I will reserve judgement until I see more details on things that affect PVP negatively. Things like spell bloat, cooldowns (offensive/defensive cooldown reductions, far too many for every class at the moment), casting mechanics revision, there is way too much instant things in the game (offensive spells, crowd control, heals), not enough casting or reward for casting, to do this and pull it off they'll need to nerf melee mobility and also interrupts. Things like that I am really hoping for.

One thing I REALLY wish they would bite the bullet and do, would be separate PVP and PVE more by giving each spell a separate function (or at the very least, co-efficient), it might require more work now, but in terms of balancing their PVP in their PVE game, it will make life a hell of a lot easier for them in the future.

There was one statement that mentioned that all spells 90-100 will just be upgrades of current ones. Like how some talents replace spells currently.
I like that implementation a lot, but also sounds difficult to balance...but really, what isnt?!

To the nay-sayers, people freaking out and the flat out trollers and haters;

This is all pre-beta. If you look at TBC/WotLK/Cata/MoP pre-beta, you'd find that they were very, VERY different games with different systems and design intents.

Please hold all rage and "BLIZZ IS DEAD TO ME" comments until beta starts (then go nuts, jesus christ time travel?!?)

I don't get it, we'll be going through the dark portal to another land. That's about where the 'time travel' component ends... I don't see why it's such a big deal.

The tears on the MMO champ forums are intense, youd think the world was ending.

The one whining about how "number squish will destroy the game" was amusing

People are pissed that instead of progressing the story forward (Burning Legion is just around the corner, Azshara/N'Zoth still chilling below, Emerald Dream still sort-of unresolved), that Blizz is bringing back a whole bunch of dead Orcs.

(yes, I know that we know pretty much fuck all about the story, but you can't stop the nerd rage! )

MY NUMBERS
MY FLYING
MY IMMERSION

So, who else is in the "My 10m H guild is fucked next xpac and will have to xfer or merge" boat? I'm on Blackrock Alliance, and this is the final death knell for it. I don't think virtual realms will help much!

Realistically it's not an issue if you have to find a new group of people to raid with.. it's more important to have a balanced pve experience for everyone.

Decided I'm going to return. Have played Horde (On BR/Frostmourne) since vanilla and now going Alliance on Frostmourne. When WoD comes out that is..

I hope Pallys are still OP as fuck

so will outland access be removed once you hit level 90? 'phased' out?

or will it be 'because video game' still accessible?

now they're screwing with time, the lore kinda just took a nosedive to stupidville, it was already pretty whack.

i'll probabyl get this though... totally skipped MoP, and never raided cata, should be good enough heroic geared @ 90 to get all that content easymode for the experience... and hopefully it's changed enough from the trash that cata was to be fun again!

Can't find the source, but I remember reading they'll move the old portal or something to that effect into the Caverns of Time.

definitely not 100% a fan of how they totally defunct old content like that

then again, they gave up on attracting new players a few years ago i guess.
