My new C64 Breadbin has finally arrived, it's cleaner than the C64 I bought off a school friend in 1984, in fact it literally looks brand new!

I got one of the clear 64C kickstarter cases and was planning to transfer this machine into it, but now that I have it, and seeing how pristine it is I just can't bring myself to do it!

Having said that, I always preferred the breadbin anyway....

I'm after a really clean 1541 of the same era and colouring to go with the machine, if anyone knows of anyone selling one, or if anyone has one they think would fit the bill and are willing to part with it for $$ PM me.

Honestly, I don't think it's ever been used.

Even the rubber feet on the bottom are unmarked and pristine.

I'm stoked, been stalking Ebay for months looking for the perfect machine for the right price!

Some dude in the US appears to have unopened Toy Bizarre cartridges on ebay. If only the AUD was still worth something...

Nice C64 Flu!d.

C64 reloadeds are in stock at icomp. I have, at considerable expense (AUD280 including shipping), snagged one. Given time to think I might not have ordered it but they have been as rare as chicken lips.

I looked at them, but I think I'd rather spend my money on a 1541 Ultimate-II as the mobo in my C64 is literally brand new.

The ultimate is utterly amazing and Gideon is probably going to release a new firmware revision shortly that should make things even sweeter.

It sounds bizarre but get a 16gig micro sd. I have found 8 too tight (though not by much).

The reloaded does look like a lot of fun; give it a few months for the "phew, that was expensive" to wear off and I bet you'll be thanking your historical self profusely

After fiddling on-and-off with my LumaFix64 over the last few months I've ultimately decided to ditch it and go back to my original VIC II. The LumaFix did work but it was variable, so I'd get it perfect on a Wednesday and it'd be slightly out again on a Friday. I suspect that had to do with how long I'd had the machine / CRT telly on but I found it to be frustrating. I'd prefer the original lines over being constantly tempted to crack the thing open and fine tune it again.

Gee I love my C64!

Cheers Callan.

All I've gotta do now is get a 1541 ultimate II, sort out some form of monitor connection and find some desk space for it.

Everything is achievable with the exception of desk space!

Wow - that C64 is immaculate!

I'd really like to get a C64 - one of the original style - I'm keeping an eye out, but does anyone here have any they are looking to offload?
