The Cyrix MediaGX cpu has video built in. That board is a MediaGX board, while the socket is physically a socket 7, a standard Pentium or K6-2 would not work in it.

Edit: Unless he has tried to put a Cyrix MediaGX cpu in a standard socket 7 board. That wouldn't work either.

Thanks for not bidding against me, I like the case regardless if the voodoo 2's don't work, so the midi tower I have my p133 in will go into it as the case it's in has no cover. Worst case I've spent $15 on a decent midi case that I can put working parts in

Cheers,
Shane.

Any other BX tragics ?

If so, I found irresistible http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Intel-Pen.../271954663454?

Asking price for a Celeron 900 or lesser P3 is much higher, even from the same vendor

And postage charge is the same for two

Ok picked it up, doesn't look like it has any video out at all, no on-board that I could see, no port on the motherboard for a vga connector. The 2 3dfx cards are Diamond Monster 3D II 12 meg cards, look in great condition chances are and I'm hopeful that they are perfectly fine. Pretty happy for $15

Cheers,
Shane.

If it's the same as here ...

http://www.blackknightpinball.com/rf...it-596-gxm.pdf

... shows a VGA/Audio connector and what looks like a proprietary header cable

Maybe a VGA header cable from an AT board with on-board VGA will work on some of that connector's pins - the few I've had through my hands seemed to be interchangeable

Yeah I remember seeing a header there but for some reason I seem to think it didn't list VGA on it, I'll check again when I get home. Either way it has a dead PSU.

On the upside the 2 12 meg Voodoo 2 cards appear to be in perfect working order. The only problem is unless I move up to an ATX machine I don't seem to have a socket 7 board that I can fit the two cards in lol all my boards have the CPU placed directly in front of the PCI slots. At least one of them though a single card fits missing the p200mmx heatsink by about 5mm

Now to get a passthrough cable so I can use it without swapping the monitor cable over everytime it uses the voodoo 2. Wish I had kept my original voodoo 1 card and cable but that went missing probably 15 or so years ago lol

EDIT: Checked the motherboard and yep it does have the vga/audio header there, it's a slightly different version as it has 3 ISA slots but it's the same.

Cheers,
Shane.

Kinda retro and bargain, picked up one of these, it says flash sale ending today but I actually bought it on Monday and it still is the same price, it's a VGA splitter but works perfectly as a vga passthrough cable for $5.44;

http://www.dicksmith.com.au/computer...-y-dsau-xh4242

Tested it last night and must say I'm impressed with the quality of the signal, I remember back when I had a voodoo 1 I wasn't that happy with the loss of quality with the passthrough.

Cheers,
Shane.

Saw a $5 broadcast monitor for pickup in Vic. Should be good for consoles / Amiga / Atari etc. May need mods to support your format.
