Nice jump there. Amusing the performance given you were gaming and on teamspeak also last night with the same setup.

Definately a fully bloated OS. Ram speed rules it seems.

I'll try some with higher ram speed, same timings and see where it goes. Speed seems the biggest part of it all.

I'll also be doing a new OS sometime which might help That OS has gone from X79, to 3 different Z97 boards and now Z170

Bit more last night. Had spent a good bit of time working out what works and what doesn't with these stick, more of what doesn't though

Had these setting booting, but no cigar

Went chasing some 3600 and got there in the end. Tightening things up helped a bit, but not as much as I'd hoped with the extra speed and tighter secondaries and few tertiary's. 1.55vdimm for this, could be the OS limiting now, or the iol's which I'm still learning, and still not 100% on where the RTL's should be at this speed/latency.

Also, cracked 1600, but with the ram set to 3600, the bclk raised it to 4515 so didn't count, something to be aware of, my rookie error. The above run is with the bclk dropped to match 4500.

Few walls learnt though, originally thought TRFC was causing me problems under 300, but turned out another 2 timings, so I can drop this a bit more yet. TWRWR_dd/dr wont go lower either, which could also be a key, but I'll keep trying. Write latency is also higher than I thought, might be able to drop it to 10 or 9 yet with any luck.

Latency is still up too, around 43. Might pass at CL15 with MOARVOLTStm.

Next I think I'll go back to 3466 and tighten it up more and see where it goes.

Timing Configurator is for Bullant, we know he loves it

Awesome man, you've only had platform for few days and looks like your working it out now, yeah trfc seems big factor as all different ics types like it different and little too tight can be the difference to booting or not

Not sure if your still on old OS but wouldn't it be funny if you install fresh os over the top of it and new OS was worse haha, would be hard to replace that old OS that has seen 4-5 platforms ahah
