The stock cooler that came with the CPU would be the obvious answer...

Yeah I'd find a cheap stock cooler and just turn overclocking off

It may be obvious to you, but we as a communuty have no gauge of your memory or intelligence.

I cant believe i have to spell it out as i personally thought it would be obvious; go to your local, ask if you can have a stock cooler if they do custom builds or sell you a stock cooler on the cheap.

Short of that, go to that same local store and ask the man "what is the cheapest hsf you sell for xxyy socket" and buy that. For reference xxyy should be replaced with your actual socket type, i thought that would be obvious, but its apparent we need to define these things.

You can also substitute going to your local store with ordering from the internet such as pccg, megabuy, umart, msy...

Take this hsf home, turn off your pc and overclock and install hsf while you wait for warranty....

Tldr get the cheapest hsf you can find because you only need it temporarily and overclocking isn't necessary

I thought the classified WTB forum would be the obvious place to post this.

I'd look at https://www.pccasegear.com/category/...ng/cpu-cooling - anything under $50 would do as a temporary fix.
