Pretty much my plans for the system minus the HDD space - I've got a terabyte file server in my linen closet

And new room? New house!

Only thing I can think of is some more RAM.

Pentium D 805 2.66Ghz
Gigabyte GA-8N-SLI
1 gig generic DDR2
128mb 6200TC
160 SATAII
250 SATAII
A-Open DL DVD-RW
19" LCD

I'm planning on upgrading to something decent soon. This was put together on a $800 budget.

Umm... that's a sweet system but... Logitech Z-5500 speakers to match that sound card (I have them and they're very nice) and 24" monitor (for which you'd probably do well upgrade to an 8800 GTX or wait til R600 is out )

My old beast:

Asus P4 S533 mobo
P4 2.8Ghz
768MB DDR333
160GB Seagate HDD
Pioneer 111
AGP 7600GT
Samsung Syncmaster 955DF 19" flat screen
350W Cooler Master PSU

That's right... beware my PC pwn4ge.

I intend to build a whole new system at the end of the year once DX10 games are rolling in

X2 3600+
2GB DDR2 667
7600GT SLI
2*250GB WD SATA 2 RAID0
320GB SG SATA2
Antec 450W in Sonata II
19" Wide Polyview
