Indeed. Much the same as Discus. It's no different from people spending big on a top pedigree dog.

For sure, but there's nothing special about those frontosa advertised.

Anyhow, back on topic ...

EOI on my Female Blue Acara, she's currently laying eggs with no mate so if you've got a male, he might well do the job. Not expecting any real interest but it can't hurt, would be interested in replacing with her a Heckelii which would open up the ability for me to keep schooling fish with my 'gentle' giants.

Aequidens pulcher - "Blue Acara" - 4" Approx.

Ok dudes ill put these up again here one last time before i go to some other forums. Amran looks to have fallen off the face of the planet (says he reads forums but doesnt read PM's)

1 x Clown Loach (~ 8cm)
2 x Small Clown Loaches (~ 4 - 5cm)
1 x True Siamensis ( ~4 cm)
2 x Zebra Danios ( Full Size, Fairly Fat.. dont mind trading for nothing)

Pickup from Earlwood would be best, anytime really just need to contact me. Loaches have a lot of character i just want my tank to go in a different direction.

Trades well i want to get 5/6 Bronze Cory's so either a straight swap for them otherwise lets say around $30?

Most large loaches that size fetch around ~ $25 - $30 on their own, small ones about $12.95. Siamensis i bought for $6.95 and was only 2.5cm or so.

Contact me on msn through my profile or through PM. Happy to talk deals, plants wise im after crypts and ferns atm, im stick of stem plants!

Cheers

Edit: I traded him in at my LFS.

I'm getting rid of my male Electric Blue Cichlid (http://www.petfish.net/articles/Cich...ctric_Blue.php).

He's about 10cm long. Had him for about 8 months, so he would be 8-12 months old. I'm getting rid of him because he was the only survivor of my turtle tank and I didn't want to keep him in there alone since he's a schooling fish apparently.

Picture of him here: http://img390.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img6899lm3.jpg

He's quite blue and has some yellow on his tail/bottom fin that you can't see in the picture.

Not sure how much he's worth, they generally cost about $50-60 in aquariums, so maybe $30-40? Located in Camberwell, Melbourne (eastern suburbs). Pickup only.

I've got 2 red forest jewels to give away, one male one female. He's getting a little too bossy for my tank which has fry in it.

If you just want him, that's fine, but I'll throw in her too in case you want to breed them (they lay eggs all the time but they don't survive in my community tank). I won't get rid of just her however.

They're in Southport, Gold Coast til sunday, when they're all getting moved to Brisbane.

If you haven't gotten rid of them by sunday I will take them when you move up to brisbane. My 5 foot tank is looking a bit bare with just 2 silver dollars, a silver shark and a convict cichlid in it.

I can't imagine they'll be gone by then ... but you might have some pretty serious agression issues with a convict and a jewel! The shark might get a bit beaten up, but as long as you've got plenty of places to hide it might be okay since it's such a big tank.

What suburb are you in? I may even be able to drop them off if they're on the way (since I've got a truck and at least 2 cars heading from GC-BNE!)

I'm at carseldine, northside so I assume it not going to be on your way. The convict is actually pretty placid, it a single female that gave up being aggressive years ago after the male died.

I've just setup a new 4" tank (see posts in other threads

and was wondering if anyone had some spare plants/fish to kickstart me off.

Maybe some cuttings or excess growth that's not needed?
Looking to have a soft-neutral water tank, so no hard-water types.

I'm in Southeast melb. suburbs (mornington peninsula), but could travel anywhere this side of Melb, this weekend.

thanks!
Rohan.
