Default Blade & Soul

Anyone else also waiting for this MMORPG from PlayNC?

http://bns.plaync.co.kr/

Looks awesome and I hope this will be a true hack and slash MMORPG and not what other companies deem as a hack and slash action because they know nothing.

Stumbled across the website while looking to see if I had signed up to Wildstars beta.

Looks bloody good.

Still in development for the western market.

Got excited for this when I first saw it, now after what 3 years of very little info have given up on it. Especially since we have some new MMO IPs coming this year. Shame, at the time it seemed quite revolutionary.

I've been playing on the playB&S Russian server and it lags like a cow. The art style and character creation is awesome (presets are absolutely gorgeous). Questing and combat is fairly generic.
Lag is a problem for this game just like action RPGs like TERA and Wildstar. Even with 200ms lag (typical of US servers) you may notice issues with positioning especially classes that rely on precise positioning and direction (like Assassins or Destroyers). The Russian server gives me 600-1500ms so i play a sorceror.

Also had the 1st live stream this week as well.

The servers are in Dallas.

They bought up oceanic servers, but need alot of feedback with demand for one to make it viable, the chat was being spammed with people bringing up oceanic servers.

Wildstar's servers are in Dallas too. The ping is pretty bad for PVP and end game content. TERA's is in Chicago which is even worse.

AH too bad.

I remember trying this with a eng patch (I think it was a private server too) and enjoying the style but deeming it unplayable without a local server. Such a shame because I'd love to play this style of MMO.

I've tried a few variations with my best mate that hates 'action bar casting tab-target' games but fact is these are an Oceanic players best odds to reduce our latency's impact on the battlefield.

Having said that I will still try dammit!! I am a glutton for punishment (rolled a Shadowblade on AA).
