Looking forward to this game for a while since i hit the level cap in GW1. Then got bored for a while.

Cap level Isn't hard to hit in GW1, its not about Levels in GWs

Cap levels in gw? That only took a few hours in the Factions campaign...

It's titles farming that bore the crap out of me.

GW1 was mainly about pvp, if you didnt have 7 other friends to get serious about GVG i can see why the game wouldve got boring.

I disagree. I spent most of my time farming in underworld and running missions. Never enjoyed PvP/GvG in Guild Wars.

Even though i spent about a year with a heavy PvP guild... i spent most of my time farming/help outfitting guild mates for their PvP/GvG/Alliance battles.

In other news. Goats of Ascalon arrived in a parcel today.

Time to read!!!!!

New profession - Necromancer!

Everyone new it was coming but im still pretty excited, such a fun class to play. The minions going kamikaze was pretty cool in the video.

it's just in 3d.

the minions exploding is just a Death Magic Skill.

Raising and exploading zombies/ghouls/etc is pretty much a staple of any necro char in any fantasy game. I'm pretty sure a large portion of skills from GW1 will return in some form or another.

The differences will come in the use of those skills. IE the fact that different minions do different things when raised and different things again when detonated.

I'm excited but skeptical - both WAR and Aion promised to break the standard conventions and ended up falling straight back into them.

WAR replaced PvE grinding with PVP grinding, and Aion's improved battle system didn't make up for the fact that it was an EPIC grind fest that got so boring, so quickly, that it was almost shocking how quickly people deserted it.

WAR's public quests were a great idea though, good to see GW2's picked up on the idea.

I really hope GW2 are not just full of group-only instances. I cant complete Nightfall, GWEN or Factions because most of the PVE areas are really difficult to solo with heroes/henchmen - particularly the maps that require you to split in to two or more teams to distract/divert/divide the attention of mobs.

I'm stuck in the Heart of Shiveapeaks because heroes and henchment are far too fucking stupid and just get in the way (or die). Then when you complete the objective, there's nobody left to kill the fucking boss.

Shit fucking annoying. Too difficult to get a PUG going for PVE missions especially with US/AUS time zones.
