Yeah i heard that. The interesting thing is that they had so much marketing and hype behind the game that they managed to sell a shitload of copies. The Secret world doesnt really have as much hype so theyre really going to have to make a good game to make any money at all. They wont be able to rely on pre sale and day 1 sales like they did with conan.

The irony of The Secret world being hyped up and mass marketed isn't lost on me.

Yeh you had to do the "choose a faction" quiz and like them on FB to get in the waiting list for beta, was a few months ago. I thought the beta was happening in April, but have not heard anything for a while.

Must say, the character models and environment looks like its been having its development cycle as the graphics in the last vid look a lot better than previous vids.

Just read on fb that they're offering beta access with pre-orders now. I was keen on this initially, but with D3 coming next month I might hold off.

Hmmm 200 bucks for a lifetime sub... I'm always a sucker for a lifetime sub because I think if you're gonna pay $50 for the game then $15 a month to play it you have already paid for a lifetime sub after 10-11 months...

However the last time I bought a lifetime sub it was for LOTRO and I stopped playing it soon after I bought it and then later on it went free to play... The same thing will probablly happen with this game especially after what happened with AOC.

Then I start to think AOC was my favourite MMO of all time if only the whole game was like levels 1-20. They wouldn't make the same mistake again would they?

Haha I'll try and avoid buying this lifetime sub for as long as possible but I bet I cave in the end.

I think I'll be waiting for this one to go f2p. It's box cost + sub + (optional) cash shop. Just a bit too rich I think.

Seems about regular pricing for an mmo these days. Cash shop is just for vanity crap so no biggie. As usual tho I'm hoping it's awesome, dreading that it will be awful

Lifetime subs are a waste. Just sign up for 3 months and see what happens.

That trailer is just cg. I want to see what actual gameplay is like before committing.

Same.
It looks good but would like to see some more detailed gameplay before forking out $$.
