I was using hyperglide skatez on my G5, so I suspect that's why I never needed a mouse pad for them, but do for this one. I actually looked up G9X versions, but it doesn't quite work properly with the G9X apparently.

The paper was a quick 'emergency' type thing, as I couldn't find any mouse pads lying about.
The G5 and G9 work on pretty much anything, I don't see why the G9x wouldn't. Either way, I'm using a Razer eXactmat Speed side.

The control version of the razer goliath is what i use. I got the standard version ie. Medium size not the massive one that you could use to carpet your room from wall to wall!

Awesome pad, sooo smooth with the mouse feet.

I've spoken with people who have used both control and speed, and in all instances they say the control is smoother and quieter than the speed version.

Up to you

Oh hell yes!

Just got my hands on another g7 mouse, black carbon version. In as new condition, with box, manual everything, close up photos of it and it looks immaculate.

$70.

Considering you cant get these anymore i was very happy, and dont feel like i paid too much.

So now i have two g7's.

Ill use this carbon one, and put my dark green/silver version back into the drawer for safe keeping.

What's the battery life like, though?

I'd hang onto one if I was you - I reckon they will go up in value being so popular and not being made!

I'm struggling to see what's so special about the G7, now that the G700 is essentially the same. I mean, people didn't go "oh I hate the G500, gimme a G5". Well, I bet someone did, but for the most part...
