I've only had it about 3 days. IDK, maybe it's just a different texture to the G5, and my hand feels like it's got stuff rubbed off.

Ive been using the mx1100 and its not bad although a microsoft product per se. Had a g7 and wasnt that impressed.

Hopefully logitech do some market research and bring out a newish model of the g7 but the same size as the mx1100.

I've just borrowed my friends dying G9 to play around with, since he moved on to other mice. It's basically had it, but the side buttons are really hard to actuate. They need to be pushed quite far past the click, even with the grip off, using the bare buttons. Normal?

Cool. I quite like the shape, after all. Which was all I really wanted to test. Maybe, if I ever give sick of my Copperhead, I'll try a G9x. The only problem is that it's so flat I get mild pain in my forearm after extended use.

Nah, I've actually got a G5, it's way too big - I claw. The G9 is an awesome shape for grip and I adjusted within about 20 mins, it's just that the grip seems to not agree with my arm. I'm gonna be fucked in a few years if my Copperhead gives up the ghost.

What mousepads are you guys using?

I never used one with the G5, but I had to use some white paper for my G9x to get it to work properly.

Yeah. I'm looking at the largest, Speed version of the Goliath.

Just trying to find a place that won't charge me $15 postage or whatever. Might ring up a couple shops in my area.

I was using hyperglide skatez on my G5, so I suspect that's why I never needed a mouse pad for them, but do for this one. I actually looked up G9X versions, but it doesn't quite work properly with the G9X apparently.

The paper was a quick 'emergency' type thing, as I couldn't find any mouse pads lying about.
