Black and blue pearl sounds nice!

I'm hoping to extend a few lighting cables and switches this weekend so i dont have to open my back panel to turn the lights on/off

Gave my OC another punch up.

Running 4.2ghz 200x21 1.44v (early adopter i7 940 c0/c1 stepping incase you're raising an eyebrow at the voltage)

Ram 2000mhz 7-9-7-20-1N timings at 1.64v

Nice clock there, I should really try push mine a little further i currently have it at 3.0 i think (Q9400) Though i think my ram is holding me back and DDR2 is so expensive these days...

Thanks, I'm particularly impressed by the ram overclock. At stocks it runs 1600mhz 6-7-6-18-2N at 1.5v

Sandy Bridge is coming soon, maybe you should jump onto the i7 bandwagon? Mainstream processors are being released first so prices shouldn't be that bad

If i had one of those, i wouldn't know where to put that bulky box
i like using the 5.25" ones, also don't have to open the case to change the speed

I was surprised when I got it stable. I initially had the voltage at 1.68 (about what most overclocked 1600mhz needs) and it was unstable, so I kept bumping it up until finally my mobo stopped recognising one of my sticks. Bumped it higher and lost another stick so I thought "f this" and just dropped it down to a stupidly low voltage and was surprised when it POSTed, past memtest then past LinX without a prob.

Removed a dying Samsung hard drive today, ridded JBOD.

Reinstalled OS on my PowerEdge, RAID 5 changed to a RAID 0. So much faster!
