ah what the hell, i'll take it if no one else will. I've already a million other games to play

Cheers cavanor for the pass, really liking what i've been playing so far. Vendoring, haven't come across any actual gold, instead you trade items (e.g identify scrolls). Absolutely love the idea. Some small issues here and there but nothing i don't think won't get fixed/implemented.

GF and I agree this is what D3 should of aimed for instead of the cash grab.

Really enjoying it so far, can't fault the game concepts at low-level but I'm seeing that end game can be the typical unforgiving viable build scenario.

Totally worth the $10

I've been enjoying D3, but really wanted something better. I'll be giving them my $10 this evening and spending some time playing.
I've played D1, D2, LOD, Titan Quest, D3, Torchlight, and have enjoyed them all, so I'm sure I'll get $10 worth of value from this even if it's not as good as I've read both here and on other sites.

Axe, what did you think of it?

Big new patch coming out in 2 weeks with whole new act and the 'maps' end game system, which looks spectacular.

Does anyone feel like the game is way too zoomed in, even on 1920x1080?

Yup...and there are threads in their forums about it and I hope they listen.

Id like it a bit more zoomed out, but it doesn't bother me - you'll get used to it after you wean yourself off d3. btw, resolution has no impact how zoomed in or out you are.

I've got a level 72 elemental bow ranger with 39 stash tabs of rares and uniques, so MSG me on here or I game if you want some help (petrovina in game).

yep, the zoom and the fact you can't rebind shift/stand still to attack are whats stopping me from progressing atm.

So I bought it and have only had the chance to spend about an hour in it. First impressions are that it's not nearly as polished as D3, but that's to be expected from something that hasn't been released yet. The skills tree (or should that be forest?) is intimidating at first, but I've done a little reading and it is actually quite exciting. It also seems that clicking on some enemies doesn't register too well at times.

I'll get some more time on it over the next week or so and will talk a bit more on what I think of it, but so far I'm finding it's worth the time.

New patch comes out next wed-fri, including new "maps" end game. People generally expect it to be awesome and blow away d3s Walmart endgame (what endgame?).

Forums being quite heavily frequented by ex d3 players, particularly those who loved d2.... Let's hope the neighbourhood feel survives!

Mark - it'll be the best $10 you spend in gaming (well it has been for me), and the $10 can be used to prepurchase stuff, like extra storage space, etc
