Wrenched on my SC10 for more hours than I care to share over the last 24 hours. Replaced a bunch of worn parts and put in the avid steering rack. Rack seems awesome. Can't wait to try it out properly. Also upgraded to a carbon top plate, B44 rear hubs with the oversized bearings and I've got a factory team ALU front bulkhead coming. Should see an overall improvement in the truck, I hope.

Also found my castle 5700kv had an issue. One of those metal bits that sit on either side of the rotor magnet had come un-glued. Explains the noise at least. Will see if it runs any better now. The poor thing hit extremely high temps due to me not checking them often enough whilst mucking about with pinions and spurs. lol.. newbie error.

Think the overheat mucked it a bit. Only marginally faster than Ghoatmans velineon 3500 now. Also managed to strip out one of the screw holes tonight. GG Chamelion, GG. No matter, think the truck it's going to go into uses the other two holes anyway - Thunder Tiger Sparrowhawk XXT.

Bugger about the motor, always sucks to break something due to a silly mistake.

The aluminium b44 carriers are very nice, use them in my sc10 and t4.1. My sc10 in particular used to burn through the outer bearings quite regularly until I changed over, now they last for ages
