Sounds like a win idea. I reckon something that scales well with both clocks and Mem performance , which may end up being 3dm phys

Sgt Bilko - Ryzen 7 1700x - UA1705SUT (China) - No Idea - Crosshair VI Hero - Corsair Vengeance LED 3200 c16 currently at 2666 16-16-16-38-1T - 3.9Ghz - 1.387v - EK Predator 360 - AIDA64 CPU, Cache, FPU, Memory stress test for 4 hours.

I'm thinking about an 1800x just for the guaranteed clocks so we'll see
First in! (added) Seems like a good voltage for 3.9. Have u measured core by any chance? Reporting on my msi is off.

Yes, just to a lesser extent than normal operating mode, in that shadow p states and fine grained auto voltage and clock control are disabled, but your usual programmed p states should work fine , though I noticed on my setup lower pststes went lowering core voltage, only clocks. Not that it matters, power Consumption remains low regardless

I've seen lower volts needed for 3.9 on nearly every other chip.

Temps are supposed to be accurate on the tctl sensor that HWiNFO64 picks up

Guy on OCNis compling a data list here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...p8oyHDucYrVnC0

For some reason my data is listed under Rainmaker91 and I'm seeing higher temps than everyone else when I really shouldn't be, we need way more data!

well my 1800x is a UA1707SUT and going by the limited data i see in that other chart maybe i get a good one this time and did your baymax come with the 5803 bios ?Sarg ?
also as i mentioned before is the mount good? we know there were issues with the stock back plate but maybe also the boards are weird might be worth doing a test to see if it is making full contact(this chips going by the thermal tests i saw(video) heat up pretty even, not that much of a hot spot in the middle like the intels and old fx's

I'm not using the stock backplate, using EKs own, I will be checking mounting though but I'm 98% sure my mount is good.

I have no idea what Bios mine came with (only just realised why you call it Baymax ) because i had alot of issues getting the board to boot (turned out the EK gasket was the issue) so I flashed it to the 5803 straightaway anyway.

So. Neat. If you run 1.45v for prolonged periods on a gigabyte gaming 5 with a evga 1000 p2 it will murder your nvme port within the cpu. neat. new cpu mended it. might have murdered another cpu trying it again... lalalala <3 amd.

Ha, this is probably the first place where I have come where people are not shilling hard for Intel.

I am looking forward to this processor TBH, Its my planned chip.

so i will post my results with my 1700x, Gigabyte gaming ax 5 and g.skill 3200 ram as soon as i can get a cooler. Running the original heat sink from my 8120 and i can't stand the noise it is putting out. Going to get a coolermaster 240 liquid master.

shit!

You didn't accidently up your SoC voltage ?

(I know on this msi board, I accidently did because they have ridiculous menu system where you move the mouse cursor over the wrong parameter while + - incremnting and it starts modifying that value instantly)

It's a shame they don't supply the Wraith Spire with the other SKU's, it's a brilliant cooler, just limited in it's ability obiviously, but for those who actually don't want to OC an 1800x it would suffice.

firstly...we are going to need 30 inch portrait mode monitors to show all the prime results
secondly temps i,m not sure i do know 95 is the bye bye and thanks for the fish temp from what i have read.

thirdly they are not bad temps for an included cooler...but the 212 is such a dark horse for the money.

I'm keen as to give one a shot, but man those prices are high!

I've got pretty much everything except the CPU and a compatible board to go with it...

But a board and CPU alone could run into $600 easily...
