BIOS A3 up for the MSI mortar arctic as well, ram running stable at 3200 now and also need .125v less for my 3.8GHz now.

Did some cine and 3dmark runs, over 1330 now in cine and almost cracked 19k in Firestrike. Will try for some more 3dmark runs tomorrow and see if I can crack it.

Managed to get the CPU stable for 3dmark at 3.975

yeah 14 14 14 did not last for me.
got up to a code 55 and lots of boot loop.
just to be on the safe side swapped to 15151536 1.35 2933.
which feels a little less jittery, might be the 1T thing not sure as it passed all my tests but i hate boot loops
as for the video i,ll grab it and have a look but i, m not a fan of that guy...always seems to come across as a used car salesman...worked with a guy just like that hated him too

one other thing i have noticed asus seems to have gone to sleep on the bios driver side of things like usual....they drop a few good ones early then run away

Yeah the guy himself is annoying. Thankfully the amd engineer does most of the talking. Basically a walk thru of the bios with a brief explanation of each setting and their recommendations for a 4.0ghz overclock with ram timings at 3200

yeah just watched it...all interesting but nothing i did not know...what i want to know is what procdt settings to use.
why the 3200 strap does not work on my ram period.
the fact he says don't go over 1.425 volts for long term when the chip oc 4.1 on boost on 2 cores at 1.5 i know it is only short lived but the normal voltage at 3.7 stock sits around 1.464....all a little contradictory to me as for the msi bios i just installed a new 970a board for my daughter as her old gigabyte had finally shown it was not up

to the 8320 and that bios made my head hurt

oh as for the new bios thanks i will have a gander(of course they release the second i have a whinge...maybe i should whinge about not winning lotto )

yeah looking at page 4000 of that thread people do not seem to like this bios much temps report up voltages report crazy etc...might wait a teeny while till some idea of what it is doing or adding to the party.

also the fact that the 1106 is up on the asus site under windows 7 but not windows 10....apparently it was there but seems to have been removed...makes me want to wait even more

Well slowly but surely MSI is getting there, just updated to the latest A.3 BIOS and now I'm up from 2400MHz to 2666MHz .

Now I cant go over 2666MHz... maybe with 2 more updates I'll be at 3200MHz? one can dream.

Hoping someone can help me out - i haven't overclocked in ages, and previously didn't pay much attention to memory. I've managed to get my Asus Prime B350M-A to go 2666MHz, just needed to set voltage to 1.35V (DOCP didn't work). However benchmarking with cinebench with different memory settings is giving me weird results:

Score: 1404
2666 MHz 16-17-17-35

Score: 1367
2666 MHz 15-16-16-35

Score: 1354
2133MHz 13-15-15-34

Score: 1417
2666 MHz 15-17-17-35

Even more interesting was changing CPU ratio to 34 didn't yield a score increase either (forgot what memory settings though).

System:
Ryzen 1700
Asus Prime B350M-A
Corsair LPX 3000 2x8GB (15-17-17-35)

Could try the latest chipset drivers and the Ryzen power plan, I just did that.

CPU stock.
RAM 2666MHz 14-14-14-34-T1.

Custom high performance plan 1587.
Ryzen power plan 1618.

On a completely unrelated note, the latest Crimson drivers (17.4.4) stuffed my right screen saying there's something wrong with the cable , rollback time.

So... err here's something interesting, when you do a clean install of AMD GPU drivers it uninstalls the Ryzen power plan to... .
