I love tomato on a burger but the criteria for the competition was a stoner burger so I didn't think tomato would make the cut

What cut of lamb is that and where do you get your meats from locally?

I am in 2230, most of our red meat lately I have been purchasing from the meat emporium at Alexandria when its on sale, I work close by.

cheers

Hey mate the lamb cut is just a rolled lamb loin that I scored from Miranda coles at half price, locally I get my meat from farm to plate at the park side plaza miranda... maininly just beef shorties because they're nice and cheap there and I've told the butcher what I'm after, brisket, pork ribs, Boston but, lamb shoulders and snags from Stapletons gymea, I used to work for them as a butchers assistant when I was a teen, other than that I'm a tradie that works heaps in Alexandria so I pop in often and also grab sale items and what not.

That burger literally got me salivating, and I've already eaten. Yummo.

I think tomato would have detracted from the sweet and sour pickle. I love tomato, but sometimes there are other things that'll have the "oomph".

The pickle and raw onion added texture and the right amount of acidity to cut through the pork and beef I think, always have to have some sort of acidity in a burger be it, pickles, onion, tomato or a dressing of some sort
