I have heard that about dye's, but thought Mayhem's was fine.

In that case I would go another mayhem's product, probably ICE DRAGON COOLING FLUID Blue or EC6 Non-Conductive Coolant, which is a Mayhem product relabeled the same as the XSPC product.

Which is a bugga considering it will cost $40-$70. My loop takes 2Ltr's

Avoid ice dragon. Seriously just stay the fuck away. See my build log (in sig) to see why.
EC6 isn't terrible but I've heard of it clogging shit up too.

Maybe just don't put stupid shit in your loop and run DI and LU

And yes, I learned the hard way

Nah, Huggy is lying about ice dragon, it is one of the better ways of removing nickel from a cpu block. Feel free to use it.

Also, DI and Liquid utopia for clear - have a look at the coolant mixes at repco/supercheap for colours - it was what everyone was using ten years ago.
