I'm running the RAM listed in my sig, only @1600MHz though. I can only get my chip stable @4.5GHz it's been priming for a couple of hours now, high 70's.

in winter you can oc easy with a good heatsink, my 2700k coolmaster evo heatsink

goes to 4.6ghz in summer(full usage) 40d room temp(no air con) 89d celc

but in winter it goes to 5g, full speed/usage (gets to 86d max)

in summer i need water cooling to get 5g (at 69 max)

Chill.. You don't need that power anyway.. These chips are amazing enough as is lol, I've seen people go up to 1.4v swell without being afraid... I personally can make it to 4.7 at great voltages but I have to look into making those voltages dynamic so they scale.. So she doesnt run at 1. 3 on idle lol.. Probably better for lifetime etc

Intel processors should throttle at tj.max provided (adaptive thermal monitor is enabled) but not before it. If it's disabled then it won't throttle. Either way it will turn off automatically 20-25C past tj.max.

Huh? they dont throttle @ 75c, they throttle @ 100c, thermal shutdown @ 110c.

Uhm, I mean it needs to get 75 C hotter than it already was, till it throttles.
