It's possible to go above the CCC clock limits with the right BIOS and tools if that's what you're getting at. Look out for it on the 9th.

New 7970 supporting Afterburner is available at Guru3D

As far as I know the option to decrease tessellation was removed from CCC a while back, wouldn't be worth while to run 6000 series drivers with a 7000 series card.

I think they still are awarding points for no tess runs because FM validation can't detect it.

edit: @snappy ahh well no worries for points then if its been removed, but it was a worthwhile function for gamers wanting to dial the settings down a bit i guess

If you check the guys FM link it has detected the modified tesselation notice at the top and then down the bottom it shows up as Non-standard AMD Tessellation Setting 1. Thougth there was a discussion over at the bot about this and the ruling was no WR points or something like that.

RAM finally came in today, Not in much of a mood for benching though (doesn't help knowing my CPU can't bench as high as it could at the start of the gigabyte comp though).

The RAM (sorry for the crap phone pic):

I've got to say, everything feels so damn cheap after handling some Dominators (although I've only held things like ripjaws & vengeance before), I really wasn't expecting them to weigh so much, feel so nice or look so good! Even the airflow thing it came with is really well built.

More importantly than that though, they run much better than the 2133mhz 9-11-10 ripjaws I had before. I had them at 8-9-8 before they needed any more than the rated 1.65V and then with extra voltage they went on to 7-9-6 (although it was a bit flakey so they might need a bit more voltage next time or it could be the IMC, had them at 1.74V). Once I retrieve my not so amazing 550BE I might take a crack at the frequency and see what that'll do for them. This could be hindered as I think my board only goes up to a multi for 1866 and for some inexplicable reason it wouldn't let me change the reference clock by more than ~10 about half way through it's use

Anyway here's a quick screenie of Memtest and SuperPi running with a lazy 4.5Ghz on the CPU. Didn't play round with sub-timings either, just the main 3
