Ooooo I loved Mechwarrior games! Hopefully this one will be as good as the old ones! However nothing will beat my Steel Battalion for sheer over the top mech goodness. Too bad the game wasn't that great.

Ooo yeh, found my SB photo. Check out the controller!!!

Oh please please please make it so!
I've still got my old Microsoft Sidewinder 3D Pro that came with Mechwarrior 2. Love(d) that game so much.

It better support multiple screens!

I put an SBlive in my computer simply so I could use my Saitek MX-530 or other old 6-8 button gamepads but still had no love under xp using generic or available (win98, lol) drivers.

if it supports multiple screens that would be kick arse. that small target dialog in MW3 that used to show a zoomed view of your target would be a wicked addition to being on your second screen, along with extra information

very cool...

I loved all the MW's. i recently re-installed mw3 and 4 and 4 mercs. I remember buying MW2 Mercs and being amazed by the voice-overs.

What about the into movie for MW2? Best. Ever.

In reply to your earlier comment Spudboy, I think Smith N Tinker is actually owned by one of the founders of FASA Corp. I don't believe there's going to be any issues there. (This may be wrong, I'm going by memory, not a current wiki check)

F yeah, I was just thinking the other day about whatever happened to the mech warrior series. MS picked them up, made a few games then they disappeared. Always loved them.

yeah ferris, i am unsure of the current situation as well..

i remember somebody pissed fasa off around the time of MW2:Merc and basically screwed over the licensing. but they somehow made up to release mw3 and 4.. though from memory, clan mw wasnt allowed which sucked, coz the clans was where it pwned.. sooo much lore and backstory.

that does it..... i need to pull out my pMMX again.. *MUST**PLAY**MW2*

Hope its evolved a bit gameplay wise... The last couple of versions were pretty to look at but dull. See giant robot in distance, start shooting at robot, continue till one of you falls over.

I always prefered Earthsiege 2 to MW2 and MW3, the walking animations in the MW games were always out of sync with the terrain, looked wanky.

edit: The MW2 intro is a short classic

Tried to get the Net mech addon working at school but the pc's were not fast enough
