That's based on a single image.. this is multiple-image superresolution, which isn't about learned patterns etc, but can gives real higher accuracy/detail.

That's more how PhotoAcute works, though it's not that advanced. I couldn't get it to give increased detail from my GH2 even though it's profiled in there, but worked very well on flatbed scans and even Flextight scans with Adox CMS 20 by lying about the profile (you have to pick a digital camera and lens combo as a profile).

I found some open source versions of multi image superresolution floating around.. will eventually try to put something together.


You can try out a demo to see if it'll work for you etc.
