Update from Technet

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/w...z&country=zUSz

This is probably what most home users would be interested in though:

Quote:
Modern UI experience
Variable, Continuous Size of Snap Views
You have more ways to see multiple apps on the screen at once. You can resize apps to nearly infinite sized windows, share the screen between two apps, or have up to three apps on each monitor.
Boot to Desktop
We have made configuration options available which will allow you to boot directly to the desktop in Windows 8.1.
Desktop and Start Screen
Improvements have been made to better support users who prefer a mouse and keyboard experience to access applications.

These are just some of the key features available in Windows 8.1 We encourage you to test out and try these features when you evaluate Windows 8.1 for use both in your work environment as well as at home in your personal life. Please note that Windows Server 2012 R2 may be required in order for some of these features to be available.

Yes nice stuff for home users but in reality there is a lot more in this 8.1 update for the corporate side of things, needed enhancements and more importantly fixing, hopefully all the stuff that's broken.

I thought this little tale would be relevant here. I've gotten my first customer request to put Win7 on his system. He has had Win8 for well over a month now and cannot wrap his head around it and as such wants to go back. He's the first though, most adjust well enough.

Just curious.

Well I explained that to go to Win7 they'll have to purchase a copy (they only had Win8 standard) and they paid and I have ordered Win7 for them.

This is good. Is there a site I can go and learn how to do this on my wife's lappy? She is struggling a bit with Win8.

See why I want to figure out how to package it as an installer?

I prefer this method. Simple reg edit (or import reg file provided). Add shut down, restart and sleep to right click menu: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1898501

This is probably what most home users would be interested in though:
Hopefully it will be more stable.. every couple of days a program stops responding for me... just random..
sometimes I have to reboot the PC to get rid of it as even task manager won't close it

Thats odd, I find it more stable than Windows 7

Does anyone know of a way to enable NIC teaming ?

I know its available in Server 2012, and the Powershell commands are in Win8, but when I run them it needs a server component

Im hoping there is some sort of hack
