I once had an AMD computer.

Then I upgraded and bought an Intel computer.

The new one was faster.

So Intel must be better, right ?!

Yeah I just built my first ever Intel/Nvidia system. Always used AMD/Radeon prior to this, from my Athlon XP to an 7850k APU... While I love the new system and what its capable of, I hope and pray to make a return to AMD for my next build.

They will be back with DX12, like a phoenix from the ashes.
System: Intel 6700k@4.6, ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero Alpha w/EK M8G Monoblock, Custom Watercooling Loop, EVGA 1080GTX SC @ 2100mhz, 16gb Corsair 3000MHZ DDR4, ASUS Xonar STX, Samsung 512gb SM961 NVME m.2 drive, Fractal Design Define S w/ Tempered Glass Mod.
Many successful trades over the past 12 years with many happy buyers/sellers!

Q2 Results are in - Exceeded forecast,

"In the second quarter we accomplished a significant milestone as we returned to non-GAAP operating profitability based on solid execution and strong demand for our semi-custom and graphics products," said Lisa Su, AMD president and CEO. "Based on the strength of our semi-custom products and demand for our latest Radeon RX GPUs and 7th Generation A-Series APUs, we are well positioned to drive growth and market share gains in the second half of the year."
driven primarily by:

-Notebook APU sales
-Custom SoC's (Consoles)
-IP Licencing

So this was basically achieved without Polaris (RX480) , as it launched so late in the Qtr.

Good to hear.

I'm not a fanboy of any company out there, but I do consider competition to be very important.

Yeah definitely good news. Would hate to see AMD go under....someone needs to keep Intel honest.
