I've never had an issue with driving via the keyboard..?? Plus I love being able to aim and move using keyboard and mouse. Played some GTA 4 on my brothers Xbox, couldn't get used to the controls.

The only thing i dont like about keyB/mouse is there is no incremental throttle. It's either all or nothing. I like to cruise around sometimes and it just breaks immersion revving like hell every few seconds to keep my speed.

As for purchasing, GTAIV would have to be my most sour purchasing experience. I pre ordered it for PC, went down excitedly the morning it came out only to find out the store i had brought it off had given my copy away. So i got my money back off them and free game for my inconvenience and went next door to a major department store and brought it cheaper than what the original store were offering anyway.
Took it home and installed it, and got 5-7 frames a second on a rig that well outstripped the recommended specs. Turns out it didnt support SLI at that point. So i uninstalled it and reset the cdkey with rockstar so it could be reinstalled by someone else and went to return it thinking i could use the money for other things until they got it sorted out in a few weeks. The department store flat out refused to take the game back and pretty much called me a pirate for trying to. So it sat on my shelf and has continued to do so ever since. I ended up buying it on steam a while later during a sale for ~$20.

For GTAV i'm going to be a little more hesitant. And let others be my guinea pigs before i put money down for it.

You didn't miss out on much having not played GTAIV. Probably the weakest of all the GTA series thus far. The two DLC's are better than the main game by far.

Fuck off Roman, I don't want to go and play darts

The storyline in GTAIV was pretty weak. But in saying that it was still pretty enjoyable. I really enjoyed the DLC's

When it came out, the world of GTAIV was amazing. Though it's not worth playing now, it was certainly worthwhile at the time.

How do you figure this? GTA has always come out on console first, before PC, going way back to GTAIII. Console is probably where they make most of their money each release, due to the ease of piracy on PC. So you shouldn't be surprised the PC version will be delayed for PC since you plan on pirating it anyway, and ultimately contributing to the argument for not releasing GTA6 on PC at the same time as consoles (when it comes around)..

It was big enough for them to make a GTA II and then a GTA III. GTA III was the first in a 3d engine. I and II were still extremely popular.

Hey now, don't quote fact. That ruins his argument.

I plan to play it, but I'm not buying it. It's something I would have paid full whack for (and that's not something I do often, usually wait for a game to come down before buying it), but I'm sick of being fucked around and treated like a second rate customer because I game on PC.
And thus the cycle continues. Either buy it and play it, or don't buy it and don't play it. You can get narky about dev's not releasing on PC blah blah but don't contribute to the problem.

im just gonna get a PS4 when it comes out... assuming GTA V will be announced for PS4.. (my first console ever)
will be cheaper then upgrading my computer every 6 months if I wanted to play the latest games on high settings.

I haven't upgraded my machine for over a year and can still play the latest games on High. Ultra... well that's a different story but the good thing is I can customise options to make it look awesome and still run great.
