Yes, I'm aware... PLX chip would be required just like it is with Z270 or other non X79/X99 Intel platforms.

Two is a waste for some people, not for others. I'm curious as to how Ryzen will play with my chiller but I also want to be able to throw lots of GPUs at it.

... the makeup of cores, CCX units, and L3 cache. Here is their response.

1600X: 3+3 with 16MB L3 cache. 1600: 3+3 with 16MB L3 cache. 1500X: 2+2 with 16MB L3 cache. 1400: 2+2 with 8MB L3 cache. As with Ryzen 7, each core still has 512KB local L2 cache....

another part of the jigsaw puzzle falls into place

epic price to performance level right there.
a little premature we know really what the multi performance will be but still the gaming side will make or break it i think.
but saying that i would rather drop cash on a 1600x than a 7600k

set your CCX to be 2+2 or 3+3, same performance no ?

my pricing predicition, although i suspect we'll be hammered on release as these will sell well

us to aus is $648 for 499 so really not that much difference when you figure the import etc.

so maybe a little on the pessimistic side for your guesses but i don't think too far off.

i used the existing MRSP USD price against the "common" AUD prices and used that as an abstract for the lower model pricing. Where'd you get your numbers Sarge ?
I also did a % on the lowest staticeice price vs AUD price (real and projected) to see what sort of street pricing we might see on the lower end model after a few weeks (of retailer gouging)

Not sure about the Prime but the ASRock Taichi & Fatal1ty X370 Professional and the Gigabyte GA-AX370-Gaming K7 have Bclk adjustment.

I'm very interested to see if the additional cache to core ratio on the 1600X, 1600 and 1500X helps to offset some of the performance issues we've seen so far. I don't expect miracles though.

If something like the 1600 overclocked could closely match the 1800X for performance then people looking for some affordable, mid range AMD platforms this year will have a winner.

R5 1400 4C8T for is being release mid April from memory.

The R3's which have 4C4T aren't due until H217.

I think
