Since so many of you guys and / or girls are in the sub zero field, I just have a few questions, if I may ?

First with the use of chilled water on HwBot, do I choose water cooling or SS cooling ?

Second, I bought a dual reading K-Type Thermocouple thermometer from ebay, which can read down to -200 or something, but when I connect both probes, I have a difference of about 2 degrees at room temp (approx 20). But when both placed in a fridge and left for 15-20min they read exactly the same (approx 5). Has anyone experienced this before ? And or is it likely to be just the thermocouple/s ?

I appreciate the help

Just do water. SS cooling is a little more extreme and will be like -20-40C or so.

Can you link the thermometer you bought? I've never had issues with the one I bought that was a cheapo one. Although just getting it right (K probe, C degrees, not an offset etc.) can be a problem if I mush buttons accidentally.

definitely just select "water", as that is exactly what it is.
all you are doing is assisting in lowering the temp of that water.

selecting SS etc will automatically move you up into a different league.. the extreme OC league.
if you search around a bit theres many other subs with chilled water that are still fine to be included in the enthusiast league.

hell the rookie cup had guys using stuff like that, or dumping the rads into buckets of ice (dice?!) etc....

edit:
if the recent computex comp can call ln2 cooled radiators "watercooled", then yeah, ill say its definitely fine to class yourself as water

Testing this 8800GTS. Core seems not bad, but mem sucks still. Mem mod was pointless too lol. Still, this is just testing and it's beaten my other run on LN2. Should explain though, I had the card on LN2.

Think I saw a thread on xs a while back with 8800gts mods and some info on ocp. Might be worth a look i'll see if I can dig it up.

Yeah that's where I found the mod from T_M. I read the whole thing and there was talk of OCP mods, but nothing actually showing to work. It's not a big deal anyway to be honest. If the mem was stronger I'd be looking more into it.
