I have my doubts about that.

That would cost $$ and I think what they'll do is just use "defective" chips that fail their QA test for regular game card and just reuse them but state they disabled DirectX support.

There is very little hardware difference between quadro and regular gfx card (as you know they use same silicon) so I think it's not unreasonable to assume something similar is going on with these mining cards.
I guess time will tell but by the time we find out, prices would've settled down pre-mine craze and it won't be worth the effort.

After modding my notebook 1070's vBIOS with an increased TDP of 151-170W I pretty much get desktop 1070 scores in synthetic benchmarks like firestrike.

In this weather and ambient temps I'd say not much difference really.

The scores are better because the notebook 1070 has the extra CUDA cores over the desktop 1070.

whats an elite member? Terrible benchmark anyway..

a) its boring to watch
b) a 7700k demolishes a 6950x its all per-core perf. CPU & GPU scores arent separated so people think their card is under performing vs equivalent cards cause score is 3000 lower, but its because their CPU is a 8-core not 4-core.

Newegg.

I had bought another from in Aus but AusPost lost it so I ordered another one in the meantime!

Both the hybrid and the other arrived on the same day so I sold the G1 Gaming one to my friend and kept the hybrid

Just check my link, you need to register a 10 series card after 1st march to get the code, its on top of the free game that NVidia bundles. Advanced version of superposition is worth $20usd, so not bad.

Oh I didn't know about those problems, just wanted to let ppl know that they can grab a freebie.
