A wee bit, lol.

I have been testing some lower/mid and top range stuff.

It seems to me, and with my hearing, anything than a good $400-$500 set of headphones and same price point for Amp/DAC is a waste of time.

So I settled for my post above due to it's flexibility.

Currently Fostex TH610 and Fostex TE-07 straight from Galaxy S7 or Audio Engine D1 (the very first revision) on PC.

Soon it'll be phone to Oppo HA2SE to cans. Tested it few weeks back. Nice little combo indeed!

Hope you are enjoying the TH610, Benno! Still slowly paying off my layby of the HD800 that my local audio store kindly allowed me to have.

Yeah mate I am. I need the Oppo HA2SE though. Night and day. HD800 or HD800s ?

I'm finding my IEMs a bit strange. They do some songs really well and seem to get lost in others. Maybe I just can't do IEMs anymore.

Always awesome to have some good baselines to assess from.

Here's one that explores a good range (and is fucking cool to listen to):

Try to get hold of a FLAC for greater resolution.

The Youb00b is just a demo.....

CANS: Audio Technica A900x
MIC: Modmic 5.0
AMP/DAC: Astro TR mixamp (its counts right?)

Setup is optical into Xbox one. USB to PC. I run chat through the xbox app on windows 10 which allows me to just use my modmic for voice and can record and stream through OBS.

The mixamp is temperamental though... does funny things all the time...

Has anyone tried the TEAC NAD - D 3020 Hybrid Digital Integrated Amp. I love my TEAC AI-101DA but fuck I'm not sure what's wrong but volume randomly increases and decreases, hot or cold. It's not severe yet, some days it won't do shit. I would have to fight the remote volume to zero it back down because when this happens the volume knob on the unit fails to respond. But when it works I fucking love this unit, 99% of the time.

You mean the NAD-D 3020 yeah I run one for my computer... The sound is very musical. Performance is similar to the Original NAD 3020 which I still have. Build quality is the same as other NAD products...
